History
Mr. Woo

K.L Woo started over thirty years ago as an apprentice engineer at a small engineering company in the Puchong area of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He progressed to master the skills required for mechanical engineering and progressed to CNC and PLC controls.

Mr. Woo went on to study and attend various training classes in Japan, at such companies as:

  •                 Fanuc
  •                 Mori-Seiki

Mr. Woo and Mike Cavanaugh combined their skills to design and successfully produce several prototype machines for Kokusan-Rasenkan (KR), who is located in the Tokorozawa (near Tokyo) area of Japan. KR is the leading producer of metal casing products in Japan. WH Technical was able to supply KR with one of the first automatic casing machines to produce 1.8mm casing, intended for the fiber optic market. The machines were designed and built in Mr. Woo's facility in Puchong, Malaysia.

Mike was one of the forty engineers selected, out of all the GE engineers worldwide, to be one of the first GE engineers to be fully trained, in-depth, on the Fanuc control systems. Mike has worked in a variety of industries, such as; steel mills, machine tools and the marine industry. Mike was one of the leading engineers who installed the control and propulsion systems on both of the Disney ships (Disney Magic and Disney Wonder). He then went on to debug and finalize the automation systems for the US Navy Watson class ships, with the GE LM2500 gas turbine propulsion systems. On the last ship in the Watson class, the USNS Soderman, Mike converted the UNIX automation control system to a Windows based system.
